Atom Assignment

1) What questions did you need to research in order to create your sway?

I made questions that were straight to the point in hopes of getting a good answer. The questions I used are “What is xenon’s melting point?” “What is xenon’s boiling point?” “What is xenon commonly used for?” “Who discovered xenon” “Why was xenon named xenon?” and “When was xenon discovered”

2) What new or familiar digital tools did you try to use as you worked through this project?

I used the Creativecommons.org website to find an image. It was the first time I used this website. Most of the research was done using chrome. Most of the images I also used the built in feature in Sway. The majority of the tools I used were familiar to me but the creative commons website seems like an extremely useful website which I hope can help me in the future and I am glad I was shown it.

3) What was the process you used to investigate the topic?

I opened sway and I made the headings put down the main questions and I then looked for the information. I found some good websites and used those. I compared the information to make sure the answers were correct and I wrote them down.

4) How did you verify and cite the information you found?

I looked at 2 or 3 reliable websites and compared the content to make sure it was accurate. I also checked a periodic table I was given to make sure it was accurate. I also avoided using Wikipedia.

5) How did the process of completing this challenge go? What could you have done better?

It went okay, I would have managed my time better so I could have done this work more efficiently.  If I had done that I probably could have gone into more detail about Xenon and written more interesting things about the element.

Great information fluency post. I really like how you have found some great sub-questions to lead you to get a well-rounded perspective on your topic. You have shared some digital tools and cited your sources. Your debrief could have been more detailed but considers what you did well and what you could have improved upon.
