Zobaida’s SMART Goals

Personal Goal

I will accomplish doing my homework earlier and make sure to not stay up late at night for homework. This goal is significant in my life because I have been staying up a lot and I have been feeling very tired which leads to losing focus and having bad memory and it impacts me doing my work. I also have been getting bad dark circles around my eyes and I am working on helping the dark circles go away. I will know I have reached this goal because everyday I will start my homework when I come home from school (12:30pm-2:00pm) and will have my homework finished before 12am. I will know I have reached this goal in 2-3 weeks because I will have the determination to do it by then. I will keep track of finishing my homework before 12am everyday on a notebook and in the end look at how many times I finished my homework before 12am. This goal is achievable and realistic because I am able to do this as long as I have the determination to do it so. I know I will have the motivation to achieve this goal because when I have a goal I really would like to complete it. This is a personal goal so nobody can really help me with doing my homework before 12am everyday. It’s just my own self-determination to get me to achieve this goal. An obstacle that might get in my way is having too much homework or having a busy schedule and to overcome that obstacle I would have to prioritize my work.

Academic Goal

I will accomplish doing better in math and make sure I remember what I learned in the lesson taught. This goal is significant in my life because I want to do better in math and understand the concepts well, as well as remember everything I learned because it will be very useful for math 11 and math 12. I will make sure that I make about an hour everyday to study, do math, review the lesson, and make some notes. I will achieve this goal in about a month. Achieving this goal is realistic and attainable. I have self-determination and motivation for achieving this goal and academically doing better. Someone that can help me if I don’t understand something in math is my math teacher. YouTube videos about the math I am learning can help with a math concept I don’t understand, or it can help with reviewing the lesson. An obstacle would be forgetting a math rule from the lesson, to overcome this I will have to review the lesson and go over my math notes.
