The story is by Amy Tan called rules of a game. The story is about the author was six when her mother taught her the art of invisible strength. The story happened in a Chinatown in San Francisco when the author was very young. One Christmas, her brother got a chess set and she started to play chess and became interested in it with great enthusiasm. When the time flew, her brother didn’t get interested anymore, but she did. She found a playground where old people always play and watch chess there, so she brought her chess set and went to the playground to find someone who would like to play with. She found Lau Po and started to play chess with him. She learnt a lot from him and she won a lot of competitions as a result. So her mom started to introduce her to all the people so she got mad and run away from her mom. When she got home, nobody concerns about her. At last, she won the game of chess, but she lost the game of life.
