Week 8 blog post

This week we studied for the midterm so I focused on factoring binomials.

4x^2+8x

Step 1:

Find what is in common.

For these, both sides contain 4 and x

Step 2:

Divide what’s common with both sides

4x^2/4x = x

8x/4x = 2

Step 3:

Show what you used to divide what’s left by putting it in front of brackets and that should be your final answer.

4x(x + 2)
