How to find the domain and range of a graph.
Step 1:
Know the meaning of domain and range.
Domain: The domain is the distance from left to right of the points which is represented by x
Range: The range is the distance from the bottom to the top of the points which is represented by y
Step 2:
Find each coordinate.
First the domain, the point on the left is -4 and the point on the right is 3
To show the domain you’d put the -4 first then a less than or equal(because the point is open) symbol then an x because the domain is on the x axis, then a less than(because the point is closed).
It would look like this:
-4≤ x<3
For the range it would be very similar.
-4 for the point on the bottom and positive 3 on the top
it is represented the same way as domain except you’d use a y
-4≤y<3
