How to multiply a binomial

(x+2)(x+5)

Step 1:

Multiply each number/variable inside the first bracket with the second bracket.

(x)(x)=x^2

(x)(5)=5x

(2)(x)=2x

(2)(5)=10

Step 2:

Add like terms.

x^2+5x+2x+10

x^2+7x+10

Step 3:

Make sure its simplified as much as possible.

If it is then you’re done.
