1. Rank each of the following positions in terms of what you would what to do
- Senator
- Governor general
- Prime minister
- MP
- Minister
2. Justify your ranking by explaining your likes and dislikes for each position
I would like to be a senator the most because as a senator you just have to make sure the MPs aren’t trying to pass a bill that affects Canadians negatively and make sure the bills ae the right thing to do, I don’t like the position because people think you do nothing. I would want to be the governor general second because he is the representative of the crown and doesn’t have to do much accept signing bills and presiding over the swearing-in process and a few other things but get paid a lot, I dislike the position because you have to be bilingual and you have to make the final decision on the bills. I would like to be prime minister 3rd because you get to lead Canada and be the chair of the cabinet, I dislike it because if a bill is passed that the people don’t like they will blame you because you are the face of the government. I would like to be a MP 4th because they have to be elected by the people in your riding then you have to move to Ottawa and vote on bills, I don’t like this position because you have to debate/ defend the bill even if you don’t believe in it unless you free votes. I would want to be minister last because you are in charge of a government department, I don’t like this position because you are usually also a different member of parliament and also have to do that job.

Good job. You could spend a bit more time explaining all the things the PM needs to do. Other than that, you show an understanding of the main responsibilities of these positions.
