IMG_0720 - Copy

This poster represents the importance of the animals on the farm to do their part, the 4 categories of propaganda used is: Plain folk, Bandwagon, Repetition and Glittering Generalities. This poster was inspired by the soviet union propaganda posters that keep telling people to do more, they would depict regular people doing more work and make them look like they are happy, this would encourage the soviet people to do more than is required.

Glittering Generalities: The slogan for this poster is “DO YOUR PART”, this is the pigs way to ensure that the farm animals would stay encouraged and motivated to continue working the farm.

Plain Folk: The poster depicts a cow pulling a wagon in a wheat field, this would be an example of plain folk, because the cow is just a regular farm animal doing his part for the greater benefit of the animal farm.

Repetition: This poster repeats the slogan twice, the second time the slogan is mentioned, its in a message form, “Doing your part saves lives”, as well “Donate” is mentioned twice in the poster.

Bandwagon: This poster would be targeted to the general animal population to persuade them to do all their chores or anything that would benefit the farm.
