How might your digital footprint affect your future opportunities?
1. Employers look at your digital history simply by searching up your name and searching through social media, if there are any posts of you on social media displaying any illegal activities or doing something stupid, the employer might not hire you.
2. Your friends might post something of you and tag you in it, sometimes they are inappropriate, this means your friends could jeopardise your abilities to get a good job.
Describe at least three strategies that you can use to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe.
1. Make sure that your posts on social media are appropriate.
2. Refrain from doing stupid things around people, as they might take pictures of you and post them on the internet.
3. Be a good person and role model, make sure your friends are also aware of the consequences that posting stupid things have.
What information did you learn that would pass on to other students?
I learned that the people don’t have much privacy anymore, so you have to be very careful of what you post and what people post of you. Most employers really dig deep on your history on the internet.
