After talking to my mom we figured out if I was making around $2100 a month I would have a little money left over for savings or for gifts for Christmas, birthdays, and other events.
I would pay my mom my part of the rent and then pay my car insurance and any other fixed expenses I would have, The rest of the money would go to variable expenses like concerts, groceries, restaurants, and trips/vacations. I would put away a minimum of $20 into a savings account for any things that may pop up like replacement car parts, etc.
The money I would be making I would be very in-need if I was to move out of my house and live in a apartment or basement suite with a friend. The. Way I would be spending my extra money would change and maybe the way of transit so my goal is to put at least 10% of my paycheque I get in a savings account till I am in my late fifties or early sixties. For when I retire I have money to help me find a retirement home or a small house out of the lower-mainland where its more secluded and quite then the Suburban life
