Digital Footprint

How might your digital footprint
affect your future opportunities?
Give at least two examples

It is common/important to do background checks on people that are applying for jobs, if you have a facebook account and all your posts were about your preference for cats the person hiring you will most likely thing of you more like an easy going and innocent person. On the other hand,  if your replies to posts are pointless arguments about who lifts more weights per day you will appear as a stubborn and talkative person.

Describe at least three strategies
that you can use to keep your
digital footprint appropriate and
safe

Don’t use your real name when signing up for a online account, ask friends not to mention your real name in their own posts or mentions, secure your social media accounts.

What information did you learn that you would pass on to other students? How would you go about telling them?

My one tip would be to lower on data usage. Teenagers share maybe too much to strangers about their lives online, this will result in some of them mentioning you or your photos in their own posts. So in the case where you delete the original post, the reposts are still around.
