Chemistry 11 – Midterm Self Assessment and Goal-Setting / CC Reflection

Content:

My strengths in terms of content are getting an understanding of the content quickly, and paying close attention during the lesson. Though sometimes, when the lesson is relatively quick I might forget some key things, which is why I always go and look back at the content before tests. My weakness is not practicing something if I know it. Whenever I feel fairly confident, I will often ignore those types of questions and end up not practicing. By the time the test comes, I will sometimes even freeze up and waste some time on the test because I don’t have a lot of muscle memory on practicing those questions.

Goal update:

I have been doing more practice questions ever since I set my goal. The way I achieved this is by recognizing that it would improve my overall grade, it’s mostly a thing of willpower and discipline. However, this doesn’t necessarily mean for me that I have completely perfected my goal. While I have increased the time I spend on practicing, I can still definitely do more, which is still something I am striving for today. By practicing even more, I am building more discipline and a better work-ethic that will be important for me in the future.
