Cocaine
Cocaine is a strong, addictive drug usually used recreationally.
It’s made from the leaves of the coco plant, ingested in powder form.
It has a lot of negative effects, including intense depression, edginess, high cravings, paranoia, increased heart rate, increased risk of stroke, heart attacks, seizures, and more short term and long term effects.
Native South Americans used to chew coca plants (the plant cocaine is produced from) because they thought it would protect them against diseases.
