After today’s lesson I learned a lot more about the history of math than we usually learn; for example, we found out how measurement started out as the basis of human creation/invention.  Different methods were used for building pyramids, telling time, etc long before the metric system was even introduced.  I never even thought about how our current units of measurement came to be, what people used before them, how many things we measure every day, etc before today’s class.
