Web Designer – A Web Designer is someone who prepares content for the web

Web designers are a very essential part to the internet and all the content that we enjoy and learn from. To learn more about the process and path to become a web designer and it happened that my uncle is a web designer.

So, I called Decarle when he was free and these are some of the questions I asked him:

What is your companies name and what do they do?

Decarle works for a company called vision pros and its a company that makes glasses at a cheap and affordable price. What really stood out to me when I was interviewing Decarle is when he talked to me about the money they earn, the interesting part is that 5% of their profits go toward optic care in third world countries.

What hisĀ  work environment like?

Vision pros is a very relaxed and comforting place to be. It is like a family there, vision pros welcomes you with open arms. There’s also free drinks and food ;).

What is his Role?

Decarle works in the web design department of his company and he has a hand in every website they have. Decarle doesn’t have a specific role because his colleagues have a similar skill level so he never has to do the same thing. This is a good thing because his job doesn’t get repetitive. The types of things he does is: design and coding websites; graphics design, videography and audio.

Why is he passionate about his job?

Decarle likes his job because he has a lot of input about the project and this really allows his creativity to run wild

What obstacle has he faced to get here today?

Obtaining all the skills mentioned before and having to update those skills every 2 years because of the massive influx of technological advances.

What advice would he have for anyone who wants to get into web design?

Getting into a good school is very important for getting into web design because that’s where you obtain most of your skills. Getting into lots of freelance projects can also give you the work experience you need to be prepared for.

Conclusion:

I learned a lot about how hard it is to become a web designer and really the outline of most tech jobs out there. This also relates to me because I want to get into a tech related job similar to this.

The Reason I chose Decarle is because he is a really techy guy and web design has always been something I’ve had an eye on. Getting insight about this topic is really useful.
