First People’s Principle of Learning

Interconnectedness is how things are connected to each other. They might be connected in any way, whether it’s spiritual, physical, emotional… What we learned in this unit might relate to interconnectedness, like how there are different areas of the foods chain, from the primary producers to tertiary consumers. They rely on each other to survive, and if you remove one part of the food chain, there might be other parts that disappear with it.

Another example might be the water cycle, how we need the water to survive, and all other living organisms. And water is recycled, so that might be a way how we connect to the nature.

Sustainability is to avoid the depletion of natural resources and maintaining ecological balance. If you can’t keep the environment clean, bad things would happen like global warming. The first nation makes sure they take care of their resources and tries their best to keep an ecological balance. If we don’t take care of our planet, there might not be enough energy for the future generations. By losing trees would impact how much fresh air we get, trees produce a lot of our oxygen and if we lose it we can only depend on the plants in the ocean, which are already affected by the polluted water. To reduce pollution and the waste of energy we can do a lot of things. We can use natural things to create energy, we can try using less energy, and try using less things that are harmful to the
environment.

Science App Review

Science App Review

You need to study for a quiz in chemistry, but you missed classes due to a 2 week vacation, what are you going to do? You can ask friends and family to help you study, but there are more convenient ways to study for you quiz, like using an app.

Khan academy is a great app for learning, it is completely free and has a variety of subjects that you can study on. So if you missed classes, you can go on this website, or download the app on mobile to study what you’ve missed. There are videos and guides to help you, and questions that you can practice. You just have to create an account and you can practice, watch videos, and learn things.

I liked how the app is completely free and easy to use. What I don’t like is how the app on mobile can only watch videos. I used this app in grade 7 for math and I would give this app a 9/10.
