that week in class we started making out coil pots, for my pot I made my slab and then scored and slipped to attach coils and we also had a group project about the artist’s movements and we choose lines.

the week before spring break I mostly worked on my new monster mug and I also finished my coil pot, my coil pot was kind of a struggle to make because I had a lot of problems with the clay and the coils, here is my finished product.

Last week I started my Monster Mug, I had no problems making the mug as I made it as a slab instead of on the wheel, but when I put it out to dry the handle on my mug had cracked, so I have put slip on the crack and I am hoping it will help the problem.

Last week I worked on my monster mug to fix the broken handle, I was successful at fixing it and got it fired, I am now working on glazing it and getting it ready to put up and use.

HOW DIFFICULT DID YOU FIND THIS PROJECT? I found this project kind of difficult because having the right sizes and making everything go together was a little bit of a struggle
WHAT DID YOU LEARN THE MOST ABOUT DURING THIS PROCESS? scoring and slipping is the key to all problems.
WHAT WOULD YOU DO DIFFERENTLY IF YOU HAD TO DO THIS PROJECT AGAIN? i would have made the mug on the wheel to make it a little bit thinner and more perfect.

1) Find some inspiring pictures of Paper Mache, and of Awards. what do you find aesthetically pleasing. Find 3-6 images that you can include on your Edublog. Why do you like them? What design features do you appreciate?
I like these trophies because they show clearly that it is for soccer and make the ball stand out a lot.
2) You will need to think about the quality that you are creating an award for, and then design a simplified version of an image that symbolizes this quality. Create a drawing (coloured) of your award. Remember to keep it simple.

The soccer ball is a piece of work I made from mixed media. This project had been made so you could show yourself in a piece of art and want you love or think of yourself.
This artwork is a representation of how much I love the sport soccer and I have been playing since I was very little. While making this project I wanted to show my love for soccer as you see with the ball and wanted to make sure the soccer ball was the main piece.
