Hiroba Sushi is one of the best sushi places in downtown Port Coquitlam, I have been to many sushi places in the past, but none of them compare to Hiroba. My brother and I both agree that it has to be the best sushi in town. The atmosphere is an Authentic Japanese style Restaurant with a very friendly vibe. As soon as you walk in there are bamboo pillars right at the entrance. On each table, there are Japanese style candles to lighten the mood. The staff there are very nice as well as soon as you walk through the door the chefs yell out from the kitchen “WELCOME!” Like the classy stereotypical Japanese sushi place, then one of the waiters/waitresses sit you down at a table or booth of your choice. The chairs look like 50’s style diner’s very cushiony and soft, plus the table is about the same comfortability as you would expect for a sushi place. The restaurants always smells like fresh raw fish and shrimp crisping in the deep fryer. Hiroba has a variety of choices to choose from but my favourite is “Every day deals” menu you can get a California roll, Dynamite roll and a Miso soup all for just $7.00. But if you are looking for something really delicious then look at the rolls menu they have many other choices of rolls like the spider roll (My Personal Favorite) Is a roll with deep fried shrimp, avocado, crab, fish eggs, rolled in seaweed with a Spicy Mayonnaise sauce shaped like a spider web with the average wasabi and ginger on the side. The prices aren’t the cheapest but if you got the need THE NEED FOR sushi then this is the place for you.
