Edible DNA Model

Today in Science 9 we created Edible DNA Models out of licourice, mini marshmallows and toothpicks. We learned about the 4 chemical bases in DNA which are Adenine (A), Thymine (T), Guanine (G), and Cytosine (C). We also learned how (A) always binds with (T), (G) always binds with (C), (T) always binds with (A), and (C) always binds with (G). The DNA strand we created was a model of TAC GTA TGA. For our model, (A) = Yellow Marshmallows, (T) = Orange Marshmallows, (G) = Green Marshmallows, and (C) = Pink Marshmallows.
