A Mountain Journey by Howard O’Hagan

Dave Conroy is alone trapping in the freezing, winter wilderness for survival. He needed to trap for a living, and he would be trapping for six week in Jack Pine. As Dave was hiking up the cold, snowy mountain he was determined to get to his destination. Dave was strong and courageous, “On his shoulders he had lifted upwards with him his pack of food for another five days on the trail, his blankets, axe, and fifty pounds of fur for the market.” He wasn’t going to stop though, he was going to continue on his journey until he had no journey to complete anymore. As a result Dave ended up not winning, but he still fought as hard as he could and he died trying.
