Back in the 1800’s woman where treated very poorly and weren’t given any opportunity to do what they wanted. Men over powered woman and made every mission in there life, where they lived, where there money went…etc. Although woman equality has come along way since the 1800’s. I feel like there are still things that are expected from woman such as cooking and cleaning the house. I’m not saying that men don’t do that; but it is more common for woman to do these things.Other than in some religions where there is an arranged marriage, woman are allowed to pick who they want to marry. Doesn’t matter what “class” they are in.
