The artifact I have chosen to reflect upon is the “Newton’s First Law Lab” that was a part of our Dynamics Unit.
For this assignment, I chose to do Olympic Women Figure Skating Medalists (1908-2018).

Core Competency Reflection:
Q1: What did you know about the Core Competencies before this activity? What did you learn?
Before this activity, I already knew what most of the Core Competencies were and what they meant, but I mostly thought that they were only meant to be used for when we do reflections, such as after completing a project. During this activity, I realized that they could be used not only for reflections but also just in my daily life. I also learned that there are so many famous people to look up to that used the Core Competencies.
Q2: How can your knowledge of the Core Competencies help you in your school life? Personal life?
Core Competencies help me a lot in school, because almost every part of school can be categorized into them, sometimes even a few of them at once. They are really important to think about while I am doing a project, because projects are usually where I express my thinking to the fullest, and so I want to show how I can use my Core Competency knowledge to my peers and teachers. Core Competencies can help me with my daily life, because especially the social competencies are important to keep in mind. If I am not able to use my competencies to communicate with people, or to be able to create ideas as to how to decorate my room, or be able to socialize with people I don’t know, that means that I have not learned my Core Competencies yet, and that means that that is something I still need to improve.
