This is our final project for our Biology Unit, where we had to do some research about a disease of our choice, and explain exactly what is is and how it effects people in our world. Of us, our group of Shea, Cameron, Damian and myself, we chose William’s Syndrome, also known as the Happy Syndrome, or WS.
We learned that William’s Syndrome is caused by the deletion of a part of the 7th chromosome in a cell, along with 26-28 genes. This was a good disease to learn about because we had no idea what is was about, and when we shared our project with the rest of the class, I think it was something new for them to learn as well. It is always good to learn about new things in life, especially when it involves others who are going through a though time that we as a society can help.
