Residential School Word Cloud

This world cloud was created using Word Art and inspired by the graphic novel, “Sugar Falls” by David Alexander Robertson, and Scott B. Henderson. I added words that I felt resembled the main theme of the story. In the novel, we learn about the hardships that Indigenous children faced at Residential Schools and how it still effects them to this day. However, even through all this trauma, they were able to stay true to themselves and keep their friendships, relationships, and culture alive.

Speculative Fiction – “Secrets of Technology”

The beginning of my dystopian graphic novel, “Another Reality”

The second part of the story where Liza discovers that the perfect world she lives in, isn’t as perfect as she thought.

Liza leaves work to find out that the outside world is just as bad, maybe even worse.

Liza reports to the government office, where she warns them that she won’t let them get away with all the damage they’ve caused.

My first image created on Dall*E, that shows all the citizens wearing their virtual reality glasses, that forces them to see a different world.

My second visual made using Dall*E that shows Liza’s broken glasses. The contrast of colors indicates how when the glasses are worn, they see color and this ideal utopia, but when their off, all they see is grey and this dull wrecked reality.
