Week 7 – Precalculus 11

In this week we learned how to factor Trinomials

For example 16X^2 + 36X + 8

First, multiply 16 * 8 and find the factors of numbers that multiply towards it until you find the factors that add together to create 36.

So 16 * 8 = 128
128 = 4 * 32
4 + 32 = 36

so once you have done this you will end up with 4X and 32X in your empty squares.

and finally, you will end with (4 + 32X) and (4X + 8).

Quadratic Equations

Q1.) 5x²-9x+4=0                                                        a=5

Ans.) b²-4ac         formula                                    b=-9

(-9)² -4(5)(4)                                                           c=4

81-80=1

Weeks 3

1. Absolute value:

ex;) ll55ll ll-3ll

Ans:) 55.3=165

2. simplify radical:

ex:) \sqrt{75}                                                                               ex.)  5.5=25

Ans:)  5\sqrt{3}                                                                              25.3=75
