- This week I did a scavenger hunt to meet new people. I also toured the studio to learn where stuff is kept. I made a new page in Edu blogs.

- This week I learned about the baste stitch, back stitch, and chain stitch. I also learned about safety when sewing. I learned different stitches you can use when making my pillow ex: ladder stitch, blanket stitch etc.

- The northern bobwhite is a rated as a near-threatened species by the International Union for the Conservation of Nature. The northern bobwhite is a threatened due to habitat loss and habitat degradation. The change in land use and fire regimes have caused their habitat to become disadvantageous.
- Habitat restoration can be accomplished through reestablishing factors likes soil chemistry, water content, and disturbances. And by supporting reforestation projects. To stop habitat degradation we can plant native species of trees, shrubs, and flowers to keep the ecological balance of the habitat.
Week 4, September 28, Inquiry Term-Long Project (Purpose)
2. I want to crochet this case/bag for my earbuds because it would be protect for my case and it would make it look way better. If I learn how use this skill to make future gifts. Others have made bags, clothes, and decorations for practically everything with these materials (yarn, crochet tools)
3. The challenges I would have during this project is the complexity of crocheting in general because I have no experience whatsoever. I will overcome this challenge by using free online patterns, Youtube videos, and practice on other simpler patterns.

Week 5, October 5th, Machine Stitch Examples
- This week I was finishing up my life on land project, and I learned how to stitch different patterns on the sewing machine.
- My biggest struggle was figuring out how I was going to design the wings of my Northern Bobwhite.
- Successfully finishing my stitches on the sewing machine.
- Hand in my projects earlier.
Week 6, October 10 2023. Life on Land Pattern
- This week I worked on the pattern for my Northern Bobwhite:
- My biggest struggle of the week was figuring out the pattern for the wings of my Northern Bobwhite.
- Finishing the pattern and finding materials
- To try and finish at least half of the sewing of my animal
Week 7, October 19 2023. Life on Land (materials & progress)
- This week I figured out how to detail and place the pieces of my animal.
- Finding how to piece together the material on the wing.
- Figuring out how to design the wing.
- My goal for next week is to finish the Life On Land project.
Week 8, October 26. Life On Land Animal
- This week I focused on finishing up my animal and trying to figure out the basics of crochet.

Week 9, November 3. Mini Pillow Case
- I learned about knit and woven fabrics, and I finished my mini pillow case:
- Grasping the concepts on fabric fundamentals was a struggle for me.
- My biggest success was probably finishing the mini pillow case quickly.
- My goal for next week is to learn the 5 simple crocheting stitches (chain, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, and slip stitch).
Week 10, November 9. Kid Size T-Shirt
- This week I started my T-shirt for toddlers, I cut the pattern and choose a knit fabric to make my shirt out of. After I got my fabric ready I started to pin and stitch the shirt together.
- Figuring out how to use the pattern and how the pattern works was a big struggle for me.
- Finally getting some momentum in this project was a big success for me.
- My goal next week is to completely finish this project, and to do some crocheting by the end of next week.
Week 11, November 16. Kid Size T-shirt/Inquiry project
- This week I finished up my Kid Size T-shirt and started to learn more crocheting for my Inquiry project.
- My biggest struggle was figuring out how to fold and pin the fabric of my T-shirt.
- My biggest success this week was finishing my Kid Size T-shirt
- My goal for next week is to start on more crocheting.
Week 12, December 7. Inquiry Project
- This week I practiced making a chain for my Inquiry:
- Figuring out how to add on to the basic chain.
- My biggest success is making a double crochet stitch.
- To figure out how to crochet a granny square.
Week 13, December 14. Inquiry: Crochet Practice + Starting Final Inquiry
- This Week I continued to practice my double crochet stitch and I also started on my final inquiry (which is an earbud case).

Week 14, January 4. Oversized T-shirt + Inquiry + Studio Maintenance Project
I sewed the the front + back pieces and then I sewed the hem of the T-shirt. I also, progressed further on my Inquiry project.
On my studio maintenance project I choose the cupboard that held all the white fabric. When I first looked at the cupboard it was very unorganized with fabric unfolded and all over the place. When it should be folded or rolled up nicely with scraps/string.

Week 15, Date. Oversized T-shirt + Studio Maintenance Project

- This week maintained my space for the maintenance project, I organized the first and second shelf of my area. I also sewed both sleeves on my Oversized T-shirt.
- Getting my sewing machine to function/lining up the sleeves to match the inside of my fabric.

- I finished crocheting the body of the case and I stitched the holes for the strings. I finished of the loose ends with knots. (I also worked on the third and second shelf of my studio maintenance project)
