It’s A Bird – Christian Cooper

This story was about a black man got attacked by the dog.   While the dog was attacking him, the men was trying to get the dog out of him. And the women saw he was trying to hurt her dog and she got mad.

In the first visual text, I can see a woman talking. She sounds like she is very dramatic by saying “I’ll call the police and tell them an African American is threating my life”. Maybe the guy is feeling that the people that died are there to protect him that he is not alone. Maybe it happened to them before. They died from the people that killed them.    The people that died want to protect this guy from the police so the police will not kill him. Like anybody else at his back. The guy is being respectful to the women.  He is being calm and listening. He is closing his eyes. He does not want what the women is saying to him. The woman is not very respectful to the man who did not do anything to her dog.

In the second visual text, the guy started to walk away from the woman.   He is trying to ignore her so she would not think that he is a bad person. He is trying to be positive by walking away, but the women are trying to talk to him still. She has a lot of things to say to him. It sounds that she was not respectful to him.  That she should not be talking to people that way if it happens to her again.

In the third text, the guy is trying to get back to what he is looking in his vernacular by a “Look” word beside him. She was not done talking.   The guy might have seen something that shocked him that he never seen before.

I feel that he does not have to listen to what the women was saying to him because it is a verbal bullying. He can say that” it is not nice to say that to people.” and just walk away from her.  So that it will not make the situation worst.  Hopefully, she will learn to be respectful to other people like him and stop verbally hurting them.

The title is “It’s A Bird “. Maybe the man saw a bird that he wants to see for a long time even if there is no bird in the view.  The story does not tell about a bird.  It is talking about a Caucasian person talking mean to the African American person.  A form of bullying and racist.   If it happens to me being bullied, I will tell that it is not nice to say that words, walk away and tell my family what happened.
