Think Critically

A good place to start as we think critically is “Why?”

In your groups, develop some questions that you would ask as you think critically about taking a side on cloning.

Let’s consider 20 years down the road. Where could cloning take us and is that a world in which you want to live?

What are some of the personal rules you live by that might play into a decision about cloning?

What is Solution Fluency?

We going to be using Solution Fluency to come to terms with a genetic issue

Sooam Biotech has looked at the work in your Edublogs and determined that you are a public relations genius. They have contacted you to be their spokesperson for a new division in their company that will begin human cloning trials. In order to give them a yes or a no about the job, you have to come to terms with how you feel about human cloning.

The Solutions Fluency steps:

In your group Define the dilemma

In your own words, what is the issue?

In your group do some Discovery around the dilemma

Develop some questions that you can research or consider that may help you address the issue.

In your group Dream:

Twenty of thrity years down the road, what could the result of your decision look like?

In your group Design/Deliver:

What is your response?

In your group Debrief:

How could you have improved your critical thinking?
