The Assignment:
You will be observing your host throughout the day. There are 3 parts to this assignment:
Part 1- The Interview: Observe your host at work, at some point interview your host and record/make notes of the results
Part 2 – Reflection: After the day is finished, reflect upon your experience and answer the reflection questions Part 3 – Post Your Assignment to Your Blog: Once your have completed Part 1 and Part 2 post it on your blog. Make sure you take pictures and/or videos to document your day, you can place them in your blog.

The Interview:
- What is your job title? chef/assistant chef
- What is your job description? i help with the cooking in the kitchen, clean if necessary,
and just help around the restaurant.
- What are the duties and/or tasks you perform at your job? cooking and sometimes cleaning if we are short on employees.
- What qualifications do you have for this job in the following areas:
- training? training in small restaurants just to start off from somewhere
- education?__ if you want to be a professional chef you can complete certificate programs that others can also earn 2 year associate’s or 4 year bachelor’s degrees.
- experience? it is mostly not required, but you can complete formal training through culinary programs
offered by community colleges, universities and culinary institutes.
- skills and attributes (personal qualities)? i think it would be better if you have better
communicating skills since you’re going to talk to people throughout the day since its a very public
- What are some of the things you like about the job? probably the fact that i’ve found new people to talk

- What are some of the things you dislike about this job? rude customers _
- How do you anticipate this job changing in the next 5 years or so? hopefully i will have a lot more
experience and will be doing a better job at this.

i dont think i would want to have this job for sure because on some days, i really dont want to talk to people
but it could also be fun meeting new people.

i have gotten some ideas but im still not sure about what i am gonna do.
