In this article about 200 Nigerian school girls who were taken from their school for four years by the group of Boko haram . What interested me in this article is that this is still an occurring problem not all of the 200 woman have been freed and this is happening in my time and more people need to be aware of this problem that these woman lost their childhood being abused and sexually assaulted and now are scarred and lost their childhood and now are woman. The authors writing of the article was very insightful and sad he shows the faces of the girls and their sides of their experience and their stories are just unimaginable pain and his writing makes you really feel the pain of the girls and what they went through. I made connections to this article because in 2014 I was seeing all these famous celebrities posting pictures making it more aware and using their fame for good and only knowing little about this at the time in 2014 and now reading this I have more knowledge about this situation and how the girls were kidnapped from their school and were at gun point walking to the bus and other boys (classmates) were burned alive trying to stop the men this problem has affected all. The article conveys that all lives matter and no matter your race that this problem needs to be stopped. Nigeria and the Boko haram group have been in war for 9 years and it still carries on and it needs to be stopped and the girls need to be freed and come home safely.
