Food and You / Trattoria Giro is a casual but special and elegant restaurant

Along the coastal path and away from the city lies a small Italian restaurant-Tarottoria Giro. The white wooden structure is pastel yellow on the inside, and is decorated with photos of antique Italian cars. The inside is cozy with only about three tables and ten seats, which provide private dining. The terrace facing the beautiful sea holds two tables for those who want a romantic experience. The big window allows a view just as excellent to the customers inside the restaurant as it is outside. While the eyes are pleased with such a view, the ears are entertained by the sound of the chef’s cooking, jazz music in the background, and the distant sound of the sea. The owner chef is in his mid-thirties and provides authentic Italian cuisine. His kind and serene mother serves the food. Together, the two create a unique and calming atmosphere. The food is made with fresh, local ingredients. Tarottoria Giro is famous for its fresh fish and meat dishes. Tarottoria Giro does not have a set menu; the chef decides the daily menu based on fresh ingredients available. Each meal is a special experience. The daily specials are a must since they are seasonal and one of a kind. One of my favorite items on the menu is the chicken salad. The vegetables are crunchy, and the special Italian balsamic sauce is delightful. Other salads are equally good. These include bean, seafood, and fresh fish carpaccio salad. Seafood pasta, which is made with Italian De Cecco pasta, is my recommendation for the main dish. It is served with daily, fresh shell fish and fish from Itoshima Peninsula. Their voluminous pasta, with its sweet vegetables and punchy scent of basil and spices, has a delicate flavor in contrast to its appearance, and is served with a rich seafood soup. The rich texture and taste are unforgettable. The price range of the main dishes is from $17 to $20. It is a wonderful place to create memories with your loved ones. Whenever I go there, I enjoy the view of the coast when I ride with my father in his convertible car. I love to enjoy the wind, warm sun shine, and the scent of the sea.  I love to visit this special restaurant with my father every year.
