The Riverside self-defence unit is a valuable part of our PE curriculum. Your assignment is to research specific tips and strategies for various aspects of self-defence. You will write 1 thorough and complete paragraph about each topic provided below. You may collect information for your paragraphs from any form of print media (book, magazines or newspaper) and the internet. You must hand in a bibliography with your final work and all work must be your own and/or cited (plagiarism will result in a ZERO). Your paragraphs must have clear headings for each separate topic. Your paragraphs must be 12 font, Times New Roman, double spaced, and typed.

  • Attempted Abduction – Personal Protection from Abduction
  • Martial Arts – Research 1 Separate form of Martial Arts

  • Provide and explain 2 authentic examples of situations (what could happen and where) where self-defence would be applicable for each of the first 4 topics
  • Provide and explain specific tips and strategies that can be applied to the various situations you have explained above
