How to find slope?

We learned about slope. This is really important thing for understand graph.

 

-Important words-

• Coordinate …..where the point is.  (a,b)
• Slope ….It can be find by Rise/Run.
• Rise ….When we have 2 points, ( X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2), Rise is Y1 – Y2.
• Run ……When we have 2 points, ( X1,Y1) and (X2,Y2),  Run is X1 – X2.
• Parallel line …. parallel lines have same slope.
• Perpendicular …. If A line has right angle with B line, slope of A × slope of B = -1

 

What are the Run and Rise?

Run is a X distance between  points. And, Rise is a Y distance between points.
