Circle Talk

In our circle talk today, we learned a lot about each other, our differences, our cultures, and ourselves, and I think that fits along with the First Nation’s principle of learning “Learning requires exploration of one’s identity”. This idea was very prevalent in our circle talk today. As we learned about one another, we compared our own feelings, values, and people in our lives to better understand each other. We learned about our different backgrounds, and by understanding the importance our background makes to us, we were able to better understand the importance of other’s backgrounds to them and how it shaped them into the people they are today. We learned to appreciate the things about ourselves and each other, and by embracing those things we can continue to grow and learn as people.
