Something I learned this week was how to determine a function from a non-function on a graph. A function is a relation between a set of inputs and a set of outputs where the input is only related to one output. To tell a function from a non-function on a graph, all you need to do is to check the x coordinate. If the x coordinate has only one y value for each x value then it’s a function. Otherwise, it is a non-function.
