We started polynomials this week and since we just started, it’s pretty much only been review so far. What I learned/was reminded of this week was the names of parts of a term.
Coefficient: The number before a number with an exponent. Ex. (5 is the coefficient)
Leading coefficient: The first coefficient in a polynomial. Ex. (3 is the leading coefficient)
Variable: any missing number that’s replaced with a letter. Ex. ( is the variable)
Constant: Any number that is by itself in a term. Ex. (3 is the constant)
