Consumable waste Reflection

Consumable waste Reflection

If I think about the foods I eat, most of them come in different packaging. From the top of my head, the types of packaging I could think of are cardboard, plasticsteel and aluminum. If I were to guess, I would say that they have different packaging because they would be preserved better or it makes the product keep its taste. Packaging is positive for the consumer because it preserves food so that it just isn’t “out” and it also helps organize the food. A negative thing about packaging is that they could be pretty wastefulUsually when I’m done the food in the packaging, I throw the packaging away, but sometimes I see the packaging left there. The packaging for things like juice or milk, we put in a different place because we usually turn them in to the return-it depot. The disposable waste in 100 years and even in 1 year would be ash somewhere but that’s only if the waste was thrown away. If the disposable waste was just left behind, it probably would’ve been blown away by the wind and into somewhere it shouldn’t be polluting wherever it is. The food waste is usually converted in these things called biogas. Biogas are used for making heat and electricity. Some things I would suggest for consumers to decrease the amount of waste they make is for them to always throw away they’re garbage. If they do that, they could prevent some of the waste from polluting random places. Another tip is for them to recycle their refundable items at the return-it depot. If they do that then they could be reused instead of being thrown away. My last tip is to eat all your food. If you do this simple trick, you can shrink the amount of food waste you have in your house. That’s about it.
