Apple Strudel

I chose to write about this lab because this was one of my most favourite and delicious labs that we’ve done so far. During this lab we had to work in pairs and I kinda like this a little bit better because that means everyone is doing something, for example in groups some members can’t do anything because the other students our to busy mixing or combining ingredients. I really enjoyed this lab a lot because we used a lot of simple ingredients and it was pretty easy to make, but the most challenging part was probably rolling the dough out and then eventually braiding it. At the beginning of the lab I was really worried about how are dough was going to turn out. When we started to knead it, the dough was not sticking together so what I did was add just a little bit of water and then it ended it up becoming perfect. Rolling out the dough was a lot harder than I thought because it kept breaking and it looked a little smaller then other groups, but once we added the apples and cinnamon to our bread it started to look a lot more presentable. I was very nervous when I placed the dough in the oven because I didn’t know if my partner Holly and I braided the dough together properly. I feel that me and Holly work really well together. We’re really good at managing our time and we work really efficiently. During this lab We did not have any problems during this lab because we both do the exact same amount of work and it ends up looking amazing at the end of the lab. If I were able to do this lab again I would try to make the dough a lot more easier to handle with because we struggled to roll out our dough during this lab, but other then that everything worked out really well.
