During this experiment we had to create a tinfoil boat while 2 marshmallows, a piece of tape, 2 toothpicks and a 5 by 6 tinfoil.  The point of this experiment was to see how many pennies your boat could hold until it sinks.  My boat was victorious because it was able hold 51 pennies, but I wasn’t expecting to hold that many pennies.  My hypothesis is if we try use the marshmallows as floating devices it will then make the boat a lot more stable while we are placing the pennies because we knew that it will be able to balance out all the weight.  My hypothesis was correct, my boat ended up being able to hold the most pennies on it before it started to sink.  I wish we were able to do this again because I wanna see if I’m able to think of a better design that can hold more pennies then my other boat.  I wonder what would happen if we had 4 toothpicks and 4 marshmallows.
