People say that the start of the holocaust began in January 30, 1933: this was the day that Hitler became the German chancellor, which was the beginning of the Nazi genocide against the jews. To the Nazis, Jews were all evil and they thought they affected the was that the live in their country. The hatred toward the jews became so bad they decided to make a new law called the Nuremberg Law, which was to take away all the human rights that the Jews had.

People just became even more scared because around the 1940’s, the killings in Germany increased by a lot. There was probably a chance that the Holocaust could’ve been prevented if only the people didn’t just watch all the killing and discrimination that went around. They were afraid because if the Nazis found out they were helping others, they would be harshly penalized.
