Part A- The Reporter’s POV

It was approximately 3o’clock in the afternoon when I was standing right in front of the Mitchell estate.  The police officers were forcefully demanding everyone to stay inside their houses.  With all the bright lights I couldn’t tell how many police cars there was; the only I do know is that they were all going for the same person.  They believe that the suspect is somewhere around this neighbourhood, creeping around armed.  This man has shot two policemen as well as robbed a bank and drove a car into a tree.  The man has just exposed himself and ran out of a crowd of trees, as the police were all ready to shoot the man looked around and knew he was surrounded.  The suspect had collapsed on the middle of the road and is now being taken to the hospital where charges are imminent at the moment.

Part B- Media and “A Television Drama”

I think the story is trying say that the news and the media misrepresent the story‘s to make it look bad.  People usually respond to media reports because they want to know what’s going on and to see if they’re safe or not.  We get very curious and interested when they see something on the news that involves the police for example Carolee saw a man that was bleeding and injured so she decided to help him instead of calling the police because she didn’t know that he was a criminal.
