Math 10 Week # 2

This past week, we have continued looking at numbers and started learning about radicals, roots to numbers, and how to find them. A radical is an equation that includes a number and the radical symbol or root symbol. There are two types of radicals, entire radicals (\sqrt{9}) and mixed radicals (2\sqrt{16}). The biggest difference between the mixed and radical numbers is that mixed radicals are much easier to show a root reduced while entire radicals are easier to compare among each other to see which root is larger or smaller. One of the ways we can use mixed and radical numbers is to convert them between each other to make it easier for whatever is easier for the moment. Here is a video describing how to convert entire radicals into mixed radicals.
