For this new project, I thought about what a vessel might contain or be able to contain. With this project I am not going so much into the deepness of my identity and what it may contain, but of what I find to be an aesthetic appearance that is wanted for the upcoming project. I enjoy tea, this is the main idea as I am going to create a teapot. In the realization that there must be two vessels, one on the potter’s wheel, and one not. I will be making some matching cups to go with the teapot and they will be created with the wheel. They will not all match perfectly but they will coordinate with each other.

For this project, the main purpose is to push myself to do different things. I am not extremely good on the potter’s wheel, so to push the effort I will make hopefully at least three cups that I am happy with. The teapot will also be made of clay and I think the aesthetic or idea of what I am going for is contained in these 3 inspirational photos that I thought I would love trying to accomplish. I really enjoy the forest/ garden ambiance and will most likely be going on that route. It also works well if I go that route because my favorite tea is green tea.
