I thought about my idea for my inquiry project the week prior, I know I want to make a chess set, and from research, I know that the origin of chess came from a representation of war. People created it to come together throughout a war to play a game together.

I tied this to the two sides against each other and connecting to myself. Two sides of one person mentally fighting each other. the chess set will be things that come from a garden; one side wilting and the other filled with life and vibrancy. Representing the idea that one side is the hatred side and self-doubt, and the other wants and dreams.

The pieces are going to consist of a mushroom, snails, frogs, daisies, and fairies to bring the that fictional look into it.

Last week’s goal was to figure out what the idea for my project was and the story and purpose behind it. Along with figuring out the aesthetic of the project.

Have not started anything physical, only research, so there will be no photos.

Next week’s goal is to draw out all the pieces and figure out the numbers I need and what each piece will be.
