Irish Immigration

I see a English man talking to an Irish pig. At this time lots of Irish people were being evicted from there homes. I think that they made the man a pig to represents him pleading to stay and show that the English did not think of them very highly. I think the author was trying to represent how the Irish was not respected by the British. The English mans hat makes me think he is the English Prime Minister and he is evicting the Irish pig because he failed to pay rent. This would have  been drawn to show the Famine.
