Throughout the story the poet is in a very good mood, but then progressively towards the end he starts realizing that the world isn’t as amazing as it looks.
I think those details are more interesting because the speaker is finding something beautiful that most of us don’t even look at.
The poet using these similes really helps paint a picture of the story in my head, and therefor makes the poem better.
The poet is walking around enjoying life for the little things.
If I was to recite the poem, I would pause after jokes because it lets the audience fully take in all the details.
The Shy Sheep spoke to the sun wondering if the Shy Sheep would ever be the one? Oh sun, oh sun, please let me be the one.
