In science class we had to make a working circuit to light up a lightbulb. we went above and beyond…

Here are the steps to make it work!

  1. Attach two wires to the batteries and the switch. Then attach the other ends to two other wires.
  2. Attach those wires tot he bell
  3. Attach two more wires to the lightbulb connecting with the bell.
  4. Now turn on the switch and watch as the bell starts to ring and your lightbulb has been lit!

What is happening here, is that the wires that are touching the batteries, allow the electrons to move in a full circle around the circuit. When they are flowing through the wires, they will reach the switch. The switch acts like a conductor when turned on and is an insulator when turned off.
