ALYSON YOUNG / HOW ARE YOU?

*Summary:

The speaker talked about the reason of the question how are you and the answer that we normally give. How are you, is the starting of conversations, it is the common thing ask. Every day our friends, families, the people around us asks the question whether they care about the response or just to seem polite and they are waiting for the word that will come from our mouth which is “good”. However, most of us answers like that because they want to keep the problem personalized.

*My thoughts:

I chose that presentation because the topic is a part of our daily life.Even me, when I am feeling very well I would answer it as “I am good” because telling the problem makes me more sad and also being good is consider as normal, to be like everybody else.

*If you had to perform a spoken word presentation in front of the school, what topic would you present on and why?

I would talk about social media how does it effect our lives because in my openion, relationships getting weaker as the social media gets more popular and we are forget about living now but following the other people.
