Week 1 – Math 10 -How I used math

How I used math this summer

This summer I used math on my trip to Europe. I went to Spain, Italy, and France, and since they have a different currency, I had to convert EUR into CAD when we paid for stuff like groceries or clothes. 1 Euro equals 1.50 Canadian Dollars, so I had to multiply prices by 1.6%. If something cost €10, I would know it’s equal to $16 because I know that 10 × 1.6 = 16. If it was a harder number, I would just estimate.

.

It cost €40 for all of us to climb the Eiffel Tower, which is equal to $64. #WorthIt
