Nowadays, society has grown dependent on the internet and has become a part of our everyday lives. Meaning that the actions that you make on the internet might affect your future. Let us use an example the devious lick trend on tiktok, high schoolers across north America destroying and stealing school property. Doing such could potentially affect your chances a job due to a vandalization. Next example is saying inappropriate things on the internet because everybody has access to your online information.

Describe three ways to keep your digital footprint appropriate and safe. 

A lot of your information can be found just by the search by our name, so here are some strategies to keep your digital footprint safe and appropriate. One of the ways to keep yourself safe online is by keeping your account private. for example, having a private mode on Instagram only allows followers that you trust onto your account to see your post which prevents random people from seeing them. Using your full name online is a bad idea cause people can easily search you up and see your friends and family, so I recommend using an alias. Thinking before doing any inappropriate online is a clever idea to keep yourself out of trouble or else it might affect you in the future like a job interview.

What information did you learn that you would pass on to other students? How would you go about telling them? 

I learnt that our actions could impact our future so we must be careful of what we do online but that could be hard due to our lives being now intertwined with technology. I would advise my peers to keep safe online and think before they might do anything inappropriate online.
